Air Dangerous Goods Online

The Air Dangerous Goods online course is a narrated and interactive course that mirrors the structure of the classroom course provided by CIFFA. This class requires approximately 8 to 14 hours of study. Note: This course is recommended only for those who are experienced in the shipping of dangerous goods by air, and do not require instructor support. (Copy of IATA DGR required.)

Course Description

The Air Dangerous Goods online course is narrated, interactive and it mirrors the structure of the classroom course provided by CIFFA. To complete the course, students MUST have a recent edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Students are given 4 weeks to complete the course. This training is required every 24 months, to maintain compliance and should occur within the calendar year of the Training Certificate's expiration date. Our program also meets the requirements of the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Regulations.

Do I need the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations to complete this course?
Yes. You will need to acquire a copy of the latest IATA DGR to complete this course.  CIFFA DOES NOT provide these books, where possible please arrange to use your employer’s DGR.
Which category certificate is offered by this training?
This training covers all elements required for a category 6 certificate. Category 6 covers all required categories and topics for freight forwarders, shippers and operators. The certificate is compliant with Transport Canada requirements.
I do not have a copy of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, can I still complete the course?
No. You will require a copy of the DGR Code to complete the course. Please ensure you have made arrangements to access the book from your employer BEFORE registering for the course.
Do you sell the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations?
No, we do not sell the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, but if you email us we can direct you to groups that do.
I have an older version of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, can it be used?
We recommend that you use the latest edition of the DGR, but the last edition can be used as long as you can Google the amendments made to that addition.
